The Judging process for the 2014 Australia Achiever Awards for Australia’s Retirement & Care Services category was completed on the 12th February. Goondee Aged Care was awarded NSW State Winner - Retirement & Care Services category.
Now into its seventeenth year, the Australian Achiever Awards are an independent, unbiased award system based on assessment ratings from a business’s own customers – an indication of a well run business where satisfied customers are a sign that business is healthy, worthy of praise and increased custom. The award system focused on seven criteria, each scored separately, namely: Time Related Service, Addressing Client Needs, Care & Attention, Value, Attitude, Communication and Overall Perception.

Admission to Goondee is dependent on the following:
- A current Aged Care Client Record (ACCR) or Form 3020. This is an assessment conducted by your local Aged Care Assessment Team.
- To obtain this form you can contact the following toll free number 1800 052 222 or Aged Care Information Line on 1800 500 853.
- Our ability to provide the necessary care for the applicant
- The availability of an appropriate bed
On admission the applicant must bring in:
- Medicare card
- Pension card
- Private health care card
- Current medications
- Any assistive devices currently used e.g. Walking stick/frame, wheelchair etc.
