Goondee has been a part of the Strathfield community for more than 40 years and the constant demand for the care that is offered by the home meant that in 2010 the building was fully refurbished and doubled in size.

Sterios and Maria Raskopoulos are thankful with the opportunities that the Inner West community has allowed them since they immigrated here from Greece as refugees of war in 1965 and are passionate about offering high quality care services for the community.

The Judging process for the 2014 Australia Achiever Awards for Australia’s Retirement & Care Services category was completed on the 12th February. Goondee Aged Care was awarded NSW State Winner - Retirement & Care Services category.
Now into its seventeenth year, the Australian Achiever Awards are an independent, unbiased award system based on assessment ratings from a business’s own customers – an indication of a well run business where satisfied customers are a sign that business is healthy, worthy of praise and increased custom. The award system focused on seven criteria, each scored separately, namely: Time Related Service, Addressing Client Needs, Care & Attention, Value, Attitude, Communication and Overall Perception.
