The Judging process for the 2014 Australia Achiever Awards for Australia’s Retirement & Care Services category was completed on the 12th February

Now into its seventeenth year, the Australian Achiever Awards are an independent, unbiased award system based on assessment ratings from a business’s own customers – an indication of a well run business where satisfied customers are a sign that business is healthy, worthy of praise and increased custom.

The award system focused on seven criteria, each scored separately, namely: Time Related Service, Addressing Client Needs, Care & Attention, Value, Attitude, Communication and Overall Perception.

Some of the comments Australian Achiever received from Goondee Aged Care clients are:

I cannot fault them, the premises is spotless and the staff are friendly, professional, cooperative and personable. Their communication with the family and the residents themselves is excellent as is their customer service. All meals are prepared on site and they are very careful in their food handling. As this is also a training facility, there is also a high ratio of staff to residents.

I find all the staff I deal with on behalf of my mother are professional and very polite and friendly to me. My mother is a long care resident and they know her and understand her needs and they try to accommodate her. If I ask for special consideration they are always more than willing to assist.

The staff are very friendly, obliging, professional and caring of resident’s needs. Their care and overall service and aid is very good. Not only do they keep the premises spotless, but they work hard to maintain a more homely atmosphere for the residents. Their food is prepared on site and well presented.
